Chod Hammer

The Chod-Hammers incorporate some of the best key features of their bigger brother, the highly effective Trig-Hammer; crucially we have mirrored the point profile of the Trig’s across all the sizes, so the long fine needle points are incredibly sharp. The twin tempering process also means that although the points are very fine, they are also tough and durable. We have also mirrored the bend of the Trig to create a very strong shape. The heavy forging and correct tempering gives the Chod-Hammers the correct degree of spring making them highly unlikely to open or snap.

The medium length shank terminates in a subtly out-turned eye, perfect for tying the knotless knot with stiff hook link materials such as bristle filament. On this range we have increased the eye diameter slightly so that the larger sizes can accommodate 25lb bristle filament three times through the eye.

Wire gauges on the Chod-Hammers have been kept the same as their forerunner the Cryogen Stiff Rigger. And with the sizes being very similar it means you can use the same pop-ups in relation to the hook size. These new hooks have past the testing process with flying colours, consistently achieving excellent hook holds and none of the guys that have tested them have felt the need to sharpen the points as they are needle sharp straight from the packet.

Classic

This hook is a result of taking the existing Big-T pattern and improving and refining it to create a better, stronger shape. The Classic features a longer, finer straight point which is slightly more inclined towards the shank. This fine ultra-sharp point combined with the slick PTFE Teflon coating and micro barb ensures excellent hook holds. The 13-degree in-turned eye provides excellent anti-eject properties and is a highly versatile pattern for a wide range of presentations.

Available in barbed sizes 4, 6, 7, 8, 10.

Claw-Hammer

Claw-Hammers have a sweeping beaked point ideal for fishing over gravel and for assured hook holds in thick weed. Perfect when used with bottom bait combi / flipper type rigs.

With longer, finer points this wide gape pattern accounted for a lot of big carp over 12 months of field testing! Incredibly sharp straight out of the packet, ardent hook sharpeners like Gaz Fareham have been testing without reaching for the file. Together with a slick PTFE Tuflon coating and micro barbs these ensure excellent penetration.

The wire gauge has been stepped up on the two largest sizes by 0.1mm and heavy forging improves strength even further. The point length to wire diameter ratio ensures the points are still long, fine and needle sharp! The twin process of heat and cryogenic tempering ensures formidable strength and point durability with just the right degree of shock absorbing ‘spring’ – neither too soft nor too brittle.

Enlarged eye diameters allow for thicker monofilaments to be used with the knotless knot. Available in sizes 4,5,6,7 & 8 in barbed and barbless.

Curve Shanx

This is the same classic curve pattern previously known as the ESP Raptor, but this new range has been made even better by stepping up the wire gauge in each size and giving them the Cryogen treatment.

These Curves are now around 25% stronger than their predecessors while still retaining long fine needle sharp points which are now extra durable. These are highly effective in a whole variety of rig presentations (perfect for the Ronnie Rig) and their quick turning, anti-eject shape combined with a needle sharp point ensures exceptional hook holds.

Grip Rigger

As the name suggests, this is an amalgam of the best features of the Cryogen Gripper and Stiff Rigger, which is almost unfair on the carp! The shape is that of the Stiff Rigger, with the fine curved 'sticky' point of the Gripper.

Made in the same wire gauges as the Cryogen Stiff Riggers, making them the perfect pop up hook, the Grip Riggers feature heavy forging and of course the Cryogen treatment making them incredibly strong with durable points.

Gripper

This pattern is the culmination of striving to design the perfect all round beaked point carp hook. The Gripper was subject to various design tweaks through the development process and the end result was well worth waiting for! The super fine, long curved point is the perfect shape and during testing, provided exceptionally secure hook holds. Other features include a 10-degree in-turned eye (slightly less than the Classic to allow for the inclined beaked point), heavy forging, micro barb and of course, the slick PTFE Teflon coating.

Available in barbed sizes 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.

Para Point

This is the absolute 'enforcer' of the range. The medium length shank, with an almost crystal bend and inclined point, make this an incredibly strong shape, further enhanced by the heavy forging and Cryogen tempering process.

The long, fine needle sharp point, further enhanced by the slick Tufflon coating ensures excellent hook holds and the straight eye allows this pattern to be highly versatile as a bottom bait or pop up hook, with or without a kicker. The straight eye makes it especially effective for a Tungsten Loaded 'D-Rig' where the straight eye acts to increase the gape. The 'Para' has already become a real favourite amongst our testers and looks set to be the 'go to' all-rounder for years to come.

Slammer

A classic medium length shank, in-turned eye pattern which is incredibly strong with a long, straight needle sharp point. A versatile pattern with a wide gape which is excellent for bottom bait rigs and also as an alternative Ronnie hook when a lower lying presentation is preferred.

The point length has been increased to mirror the hugely successful Trig and Chod Hammers resulting in incredibly sharp hooks. Sizes 4 and 5 have a stepped up wire gauge for improved strength however the point length to wire diameter ratio ensures the points are still long, fine and needle sharp.

Stiff Rigger

This legendary hook pattern has been further refined and improved to make it the go-to hook for hinged stiff rig and chod rig presentations. Compared with its predecessor the Mk-2, the super sharp point is longer and finer and more inclined towards the shank for a stronger shape. The point is also in-line with the 13 degree out-turned eye so all the force is straight along the point section of the hook, rather than across the gape ? making them incredibly strong. Heavy forging and PTFE Tufflon coating plus no discernible increase in wire gauge but with superior strength makes this the perfect pop-up hook!

Trig-Hammer

A new long shank pattern that has proved outstanding during field testing. Ultra-sharp, long fine needle points combined with an aggressive shape that achieves incredibly secure hook holds.

Especially affective on Ronnie’s and also bottom bait rigs where it ‘flips and pricks’ instantly.

Available in barbed and barbless in sizes 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8 and made using the same twin tempering process as the existing Cryogen hooks which results in exceptional strength and point durability.

The relative proportions of a long subtly curved shank, 9° in-turned eye, wide gape and long hypodermic like point result in a hook pattern that is incredibly effective. On Ronnie rigs the hook point is in an aggressive poised position making it a very efficient hooker with superb hook holds and it is equally effective on bottom bait rigs, where the hook is very difficult to eject and turns and catches hold securely even without the aid of a line aligner or ‘kicker’.

Trig-Hammer XT

Trig-Hammer XT is an extra tough long shank pattern dedicated to Ronnie/Spinner rigs but equally suited to bottom bait presentations. Ultra sharp, long life needle points with an aggressive shape result in exceptional hook holds. The heavy gauge wire, high pressure forging and twin tempering process result in hooks with minimal flex and maximum strength.

Surface

These dedicated hooks for surface and zig fishing feature a short shank and wide gape with heavy forging to create a very strong pattern. Designed to complement the ESP Surface Mixers along with a variety of other hookbaits.

Manufactured using a twin tempering process for improved strength and point durability. The ultra-sharp, long fine points result in excellent hook holds. The straight eye suits a variety of knots – knotless, grinner and palomar especially.
